Конспект урока в 5 А классе “At the Zoo”
Цели урока:
Образовательная: Развивать лексико-грамматические навыки, осуществить контроль и самоконтроль монологической и диалогической речи по теме, проверить навыки орфографии, совершенствовать аудитивные и фонетические навыки. Обобщить материал по теме «Животные». Развивающая: Формировать основы учебной деятельности ученика - системы учебных и познавательных мотивов, умение принимать, сохранять, реализовывать учебные цели. Развивать универсальные учебные действия. Совершенствовать способности планировать, контролировать и оценивать учебные действия и их результат. Ориентироваться в социальных ролях и межличностных отношениях. Развивать логическое мышление, память, внимание. Воспитательная: Обсудить с учащимися вопросы, касающиеся нахождения животных в зоопарке. Расширять коммуникативную компетенцию личности, учить координировать свои действия с действиями партнера. Вырабатывать индивидуальный стиль поведения путем саморегуляции. Формировать нравственную, мировоззренческую и гражданскую позицию. Воспитывать уважительное отношение к друг другу в классе, а также к представителям других культур.
Тип урока: урок развивающего контроля.
Оборудование: мультимедийный проектор, ноутбук, карточки с фонетическими транскрипционными знаками, призовые карточки для учащихся, электронное приложение к УМК”Spotlight”,электронная игра «Волшебный карандаш», презентации учащихся.

Ход урока:
1.Организационный момент. Teacher: Good morning, children! Children: Good morning, teacher! Teacher: I’m glad to see you. Children: We are glad to see you too. Teacher: How are you? Children: We are fine. What about you? Речевая разминка
Teacher: I’m OK too. Let’s start our lesson. . Look at the screen (slide 1) and answer the question, please. Have you got any idea what we will talk about today? What is the topic of the lesson? Guess, please. (Children’s answers) That’s right. “At the zoo” (slide 2). Today I invite you to visit the zoo. Continue my phrase, please. “A zoo is a place where… Children: … animals live. We can see a lot of animals and learn many new facts about them”. Teacher: What should we do to study this topic “At the zoo”? Children: We should talk a lot about animals, try to describe them, write and pronounce the words correctly on this topic. Teacher: Very well.

II. Основная часть.
1.Teacher: Pay attention to the words that mean the parts of the body of the animals: tail, tusks, leg, trunk, mane, paws, feathers, ear, beak, fur, wings. (записаны на доске). Read the words together. Use these words with adjectives to ask and answer about the animals in the picture according to the example. Work in pairs. Long-short, big-small, thin-thick. Work in pairs one by one.

Which animal has got a long neck? The giraffe. Children:
Which animal has got a thick mane? The lion. Which animal has got long legs ? The giraffe. Which bird has got a small beak? The peacock. Which animal has got big paws? The bear. Teacher: Good job!
2.Teacher: We have divided into three groups. One group is “The wild animals”, the second is “The domestic animals” and the third one is “The birds”. Our lesson is the contest among the teams and among each other. From the next task you will get a card for the each right answer and good work. One card equals one point. At the end of the lesson you should count your cards and we’ll find out a and the best team. Describe any of the animals Make one true and two false statements. Your partner will correct you. Children: A: An elephant has got big ears, long legs and a short trunk. B: An elephant hasn’t got long legs and a short trunk. It’s got short legs and a long trunk. A: A monkey has got a long nose, long feathers and a short neck. B: A monkey hasn’t got a long nose and long feathers. It has got a short nose and thick fur. A: A peacock has got a long beak, long legs and short feathers. B: A peacock hasn’t got a long beak and short feathers. It has got a short beak and long feathers. 3. Now let’s play a game “Unscramble the words” Who will be the quickest? When you write all the words correctly exchange the works and check the spelling and correct the mistakes.. 4. Now let’s revise some grammаr rules.
When do we use the Present Simple Tense?
Children: We use the Present Simple for:
. daily routins
. repeated actions
. habits
. timetables/ programmes (in future meaning)
. permanent states laws of nature . We should write the ending “s” for the first person singular.

Teacher:
We have spoken about the affirmative sentences. How to make up these sentences negative?
Children:
We should use the axillary verbs: do for I, we, you, they and does for he, she, it.
Teacher:
How to make up these sentences interrogative?
Children:
We should use the axillary verbs: do and does at the beginning of the sentence. (slide5)
5.Now you will play the game “Find out the mistake”. Your task is to cross out incorrect expressions and say correctly. For the right answer you will get a card. (Words are on the screen).
Example, doesn’t we go - we –the first person plural. We should use the axillary verb do in the interrogative sentence. The right expression is- don’t we go Ann like – Ann is the first person singular. We should add the ending “s” to the verb like. The right answer - Ann likes.

6.Физкультминутка. Let’s have a rest and play the game “Be attentive”. Stand up and listen carefully. If you hear the words on the topic “Birds” hands up. If the words are on the topic “Wild animals” hands down, on the topic “Domestic animals” hands ahead. Olga will lead the game.

8.Act out a dialogue Include: asking about an animal, describing the animal, giving a reason why you like (don’t) like it.
Children: A: Do you like the zoo, Olga? B: Yes, of course. It’s fantastic. What’s that animal over there? A: Which one? What does it look like? B: It has got four short legs, a long tail and yellow and black fur with stripes. A: That’s a tiger. They are so beautiful. B: Yes, they are. Look, what’s that up in the tree?
A: It’s a snake.
B: I don’t like snakes.
A: Why not?
B: They are creepy.
A: I find them clever. Anyway, let’s go and see zebras.

9.Беседа о зоопарке.
My dear boys and girls, do you like to go to the zoo?
When did you go to the zoo? Complete the sentences. Make up a story about your last visit to the zoo.

10. Правила для посетителей зоопарка. Each zoo has got some rules for the visitors.
Read some of them, please. 1.Don’t feed the animals! 2. Don’t touch the animals! 3. Don’t shout at the bear (crocodiles... ) . Create your own rules for zoos.

Answer my question, please. Why do people keep animals in zoos? Children’s answers : Unfortunately, many animals are in danger. Hunters kill animals for clothes and for pleasure. People cut down a lot of trees and many animals lose their homes and die. We should protect them. Animals are protected from extinction and from hunters in zoos.
Teacher Work in groups. Imagine that all of you are the directors of different zoos (circus or shelters for the homeless animals). Discuss the problems of the animals there. What would you do as the director? Example: If I were the director of the zoo, I would buy a new tiger for my zoo. Our tiger needs a friend. Use: to feed the animals well, to buy new exotic animals, to repair the animals’ cages and make them bigger; to create a wild animal’s park, to make the entrance free for children, to move to the country, wouldn’t make animals do things they don’t like, travel very often.
